Learning Tips
How can I help my child if we do not come from a Mandarin-speaking environment?
Our curriculum is designed in a way that children can “bring their teacher home / 带小老师回家“, having access to our specially crafted learning resources even after their lesson. Our resources will be helpful for your child, even if you do not know or speak the language.
To create an enriching Mandarin learning environment for your child, consider the following steps:
• Flash Cards: Incorporate our flash cards into daily activities to reinforce vocabulary and phrases. Regular use helps solidify understanding and recall of key terms.
• Engage with Berries Campus: Make a habit of visiting Berries Campus weekly or daily for interactive learning activities. This platform is designed to support self-directed learning and provide valuable practice outside of the classroom.
• Read Storybooks: Conclude each day by reading a storybook together using the reading pen. This tool will help your child engage with the text and enhance their comprehension and pronunciation skills.
• Learn Together: Even if you are not a Mandarin speaker, learning alongside your child can be beneficial. Encourage them to teach you new words or phrases, to foster a shared learning experience and reinforce their knowledge.
By consistently applying these strategies, you will help your child immerse themselves in a Mandarin learning environment and support their language development effectively.
