In Kindergarten 2, we focus on building a strong foundation to ensure your child is well-prepared and confident for primary school. This includes mastering key skills such as Hanyu Pinyin, expanding vocabulary, and reinforcing basic language abilities. Our goal is to set your child up for a smooth transition and successful start in their primary school journey.
Vocabulary, Idioms, Short Sentences & Comprehension
Discovering new function words and a range of complex sentences. Advancing from simple word recognition to conversing in full sentences. Introduction to reading of full passages.
Integrative Reading
Aside from alluring visuals in our picture books, the question & answer segments within the book will polish your child’s reading comprehension and conversational skills.
Hanyu Pinyin
The Hanyu Pinyin curriculum is thoughtfully designed to prepare your child for the Primary 1 syllabus by helping them to master the Hanyu Pinyin before advancing to Primary School.
Writing Chinese Characters
As your child develops more coordination and control in their handwriting ability, they will be taught to write sentences and start to learn sentence structuring.
Multisensory Activities
In preparation for the Primary 1 Syllabus, our in-class activities focus on character recognition, word selection, and sentence formation. These activities include games, educational stories and rhymes.
