Primary education is the first formal education that all children will receive and the primary school is where they will experience many things for the first time, including major examinations. To reduce the anxiety of the children and the transition time required, parents play a big part in the preparation. How can the parents of K2 students help their children cope with the requirements of the Chinese language in Primary One? How can the parents of Primary Five students help their children score in the Chinese Language paper in the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE)?
Berries conducted the Primary One and Primary Five Parents' Seminar on 28 March 2015 at NTUC. Other than sharing the challenges students might face when tackling the subject in school and the requirements for students to ace their paper in the PSLE, the presenters also analyzed the components of the Chinese language paper. It was a light-hearted, informative and interactive session as the presenters joked with the audience and the audience eagerly threw questions to seek advice and clarifications from the presenters.
